Info on 6.0, 2500 HD, 2004 silverado

I'm buying a relatives 2004 silverado 2500HD truck. It has the 6.0 engine. I have driven it on couple trips and have really enjoyed it. I would like to do a couple of upgrades. Intake and exhaust are what I'm looking at. Starting with the intake, whats out there that is good and is worthwhile. Second the exhaust, what products are recommended, is there a noticable gain, redo the whole system or catback or just new mufflers? Would like a little rumble at idle, but very little cabin noise on highway. I'm also looking for any other info on this type of truck.

Check out this forum about exhaust. I get mine on Thursday 11/04, and will post opinion, pictures, and hopfully sound.

There are a lot of opinions on exhaust, do a search for "Magnaflow" or "Gibson" and you will hear the good and the bad.

The exhaust noise with the 6l is a problem if you don't want a lot of resonating in the cab. The stock muffler is VERY restrictive, but is able to control the noise. Listen to what others have done before you spend a lot of money.
