Anybody have any trouble with stock mufflers mine

Broke loose where the heat shield is welded to the muffler and rattles like crazy.

Time for a trip to the dealer. No problem with the one on my '03 yet @ 23000. First time that I have heard this problem mentioned. Good luck with getting it fixed.

There is a TSB for the heat shield. Common problem for the tac welds to break. Go to the dealer & they'll put some metal straps on there to fix the prob.

Thanks for the info...I was hopping there was a fix like that I really did not want to cut off the factory system (Yet)

My truck with an 8.1 did it twice. I just had it welded again, but this time it did not get quit. Well I now know my cat is bad. It is still under the emission warranty, but I hate my local chevy dealer.
