Where to Buy Shocks?

I'm looking for some Bilstein or Edelbrock shocks for my '00 5.3L Z71. What are some good websites to order them from? If I order from a website, are the shocks still warrantied through the manufacturer? Thanks.

I get what I can at kennedydiesel.com. He uses the stuff he sells, and has as good a price as anyone. I know he carries Bilsteins for sure, I just bought some for my Suburban from him!

I got my trailmaster SSV at Auto-zone. They had the cheapest price of any place, store or internet. Also I didn't have to pay shipping. They also carry Bilstein

O'reilly's has Edelbrock shocks and they price match. Check there you might save quite a bit.

I went with KYB's not to bad. Almost like the new factory ride. A little bouncy in the front for my liking but I don't off road and it's only 2 wheel so it's fine for me. They were pretty cheap. Went to my local speed shop.

^^Is your local source a reliable one? I haven't bought anything yet. I'm still trying to decide if I want to install the phord keys in the front, and different leaf springs in the rear or not. If I go that route, I have to get longer shocks. My dad has KYB shocks on his F350 4x4, but he didn't notice much of a difference in ride over the stock shocks, but Fords are rough riding anyway. I've used monroe before and never had problems with them. I don't do any "off-roading". I do mostly city driving during the week, and highway driving on the weekends.

My Bilsteins have been great for the last 36k I've had them on for. My driving is about the same as you indicated...highway to and from work, some city(suburban) at other times, but no real off-roading. The truck rides great and you're not getting jarred by freeway expansion strips. Just thought I'd add a bit more than my previous reply on where to get them.

I get wholesale pricing on auto parts from the place that sells them to auto parts stores (I get the same price as the stores). They do not have Bilsteins, those are a dealer only shock (I think). But they have Monroe's and KYB and other aftermarket brands. They do not have leaf springs, I was checking today for my friends work van. I was quoted today $140 for 2 front Monroe heavy Duty, and 2 rear Monroe load handlers (the one with the extra springs on them). This is a reliable source. It is a large Wholesaler.

Well, I finally made up my mind and went with Bilsteins from offroadwarehouse.com, just ordered them today. $250.87 for all 4 shipped. :D Thank you to everybody who participated in my shock poll and to Halen5150 and all in this thread for helping me to make up my mind on which shocks and where to get them! :chevy:
