Where to buy Bilsteins?

Where is the best place to buy Bilstein 5100s? I need to get the BE5-6140 for 03 Silverado HD. I have the t-bars cranked so I need the longer shock. I am having a tough time tracking them down.

Best service I have ever had from an online company IMO. If/when I get another set of Bilstein's they WILL get the sale.

 

Not sure about that part #. ask them. Alot of the 5100 Series are on a national backorder.

Im considering the BE5-6140s also, but Im finding out there are other Bilsteins out there with different valving than the 6140. Apparently the 6140 was developed for the front of an F250 SD 2WD, so that MAY open up other avenues of which shock to ask for. Ive also been told the 6215 works in this app. but I havent had time to finish the research.

 

The problem I have with the 6140 is that the compression valving is considerably stiffer than the stock length shock valving. Bilstein lists a shock for the HDs in stock config. Im comparing the valving between the 6140 and this stock config shock.

 

Anyone have any other info or experience.

I had to order the 5100s for my 08 front from 4wheel parts. Still aren't in yet.

The Bilstein front shocks came in and I picked them up from the Compton 4Wheel Parts warehouse today. If anyone is looking for a set, I think they have at least one more set.
