Banks Power Pak

I don't have a comment about it's use on trucks, but a guy down the road put a Banks system on his 29' Class C Motorhome, and WOW talk about a different monster. We went on two camping trips, one before and one after the Banks. He got more HP, Torque and about 60 miles more to a tank of gas! Thats on a mid 90's 454.

Banks does a nice job of packaging eveything you need to improve total engine performance with Air intake, and complete exhaust w/ headers. Cool system, but you could probably get the same, or close to the same, gains with a mix-n-match system.

I bought the Banks intake a few years before the Banks headers and exhaust. In total, I have the "Power Pack" system. I am very happy with it and the power increase, though it was pricey. The intake works better with the exhaust, and vice versa. You do not get the available gain by only doing one end of the engine.

It is indeed pricey, but IMHO worth every penny. Installed on my K3500 (350) with tremendous results in the mid-rpm range. Quality of the headers is AWESOME (flanges are ~ 1/2 thick and require no gaskets), fit of all piping is perfect, hardware quality is excellent. Only issue (may not be an issue for many) is sound runs a bit on the loud side.

Hmmm, I am very interested in this Banks stuff, Anyone have pricing on it? Oh and I don't see any intakes for the Gas trucks ( the 454 anyways ) just a "Filter". Any additional info would be super.

Thanks.

So by saying this you mean that just from an exhaust system this guy got an extra 2 mpg's? based on the assumption he has the 26 gallon tank... or is it the 35?
