Gen II "vortec boxes"

Recommended Posts

Hello again everyone; There is something that plauged my mind for some time now. It goes way back when I installed my throttle body spacer. I had to take off the "vortec box" because of the extra inch the spacer raised the throttle body. I wasnt able to keep the vortec box cause it didn't clear when the hood shut. I capped off the box hole and clamped it down; and kept the box in storage. I kept wandering to myself what was the deal for that empty box. The only thing I could think of is it was used to supress intake noise. Folks, feel free to fill me in on this one.

I hear that monkeys can use them for snow sleds, but you would have to ask one of them. I can't, because I don't speak monkey.
