I recently noticed that the door moldings on my 04 2500 had noticeable bubbbles. They look to be 1" circles. Could I get these replaced under warranty? Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this on their trucks? Thanks.

the day i picked up my 04 silverado NEW i noticed the bubbles in the moulding....took it back and they ordered 4 new ones for me under warranty....my uncle has a 04 dura and his did the same and his were fixed no problem

I took my 04 CC 1500 to the dealer , service adviser said there was a T.S.B. on this issue . He said the reason for the bubbles is because there is a sticker under that moulding , warranty will cover it though.

Noticed mine having the same problem 2 days after taking delivery, thats when the downhill slide started. I love my truck, but disappointed in its quality....guess i got a lemon :D

Sun and heat will make the "bumps or bubbles" more noticeable.

orbee had it right, there is a TSB out and the new mouldings do not have any stickers on the back side.

I garage mine and I don't think it makes a difference on the moldings. All four of mine had the little square shaped bubble from the beginning. Although I probably would never have noticed until I read about it in this forum!

After my doors were damaged when someone backed into me, that side got new moldings with the paint repair - no bubbles on that side. I guess the body shop was smarter than the factory about remembering to clean everything off the backside before installation.

My 04 burban and 04 2500hd cc had the same moulding, same bubbles. 05's aren't like that.

i stripped that ugly $h!t off my truck first chance I got and replaced with Sierra GMC chrome trim. Looks much better......think i'm gonna do the burban the same way.
