2001 vs. 2002 Dmax

Hi all..

I'm getting ready to buy a used 2500HD Dmax/Allison extended cab Sierra/Silverado. I'm looking at a 2001 and a 2002. They are both very similar. The 2001 is a lot closer to home (about 200 miles away) and the 2002 is much further... about 400 miles away.

 

So, my question is, is there any differences between a 2001 and 2002?

Both years were 300 HP and 520 lbft torque. I am sure there may have been some minor technical improvements to the engine and tranny, but nothing major.

I had a 2001 k3500 dump D/A. Although the 2001 & 2 are identical, my 2001 sent me to the dealer quite a few times during the 3 years that I owned it. 1st year of a vehicle usually has a few bugs in it. MHO
