Anybody tried this yet? My HD 6.0 with the factory "drive by wire" seems mushy when accelerating from a stop. The cable system was far better for throttle responce. Anybody else feel this way. My 2000 W/ 5.3 and 3.42's launches way better and so did my 99 w/ 6.0 and 3.73. My 03 6.0 w/ 4.10 has a very soft start, seems you push father down to get the truck moving. I want this thing to jump off the line. Think this new throttle body would do that?

Probable the torque management that makes your 6.0 HD feel mushy. The 99 didn't have this.

I no I'll be labelled a truck heretic but I got rid of my pickup. Couldn't justify the extra cost vs the utility anymore. But that's really not what I want to discuss. I've got 2004 Chevy Malibu 3.5 V6. It has "drive by wire" and traction control. It's quite a torquey motor and I have seen the Traction Control engage a few times (not counting the snow conditions) when giving a bit too much pedal for the available traction. But, it also seems to let you spin the tires to your hearts content if you agressively floor it. Not sure how the logic for the Traction Control works because it sure doens't limit spin under all circumstances. Maybe they should apply this control logic to the trucks.
