which muffler

Ok I was wanting to put another muffler (cut the old one off, bolt on a new muffler then have a turn down right after the muffler). But I don't want to be like everybody else around here and put straights, glasspacks, or flowmaster. I want the sound level of the flow 40series. Anyone hear a truck with borla, edelbrock. And does the magnaflow or dynomax sound that much different from the flows? Sorry for so many questions.

Check out the magnaflows, they have a good deep sound outside the truck, with little to no resonance in the cab. I've had a few complete strangers comment on how they liked mine. I got mine from www.bigexhaust.com maybe they'll have some other brands to check out too. Good luck!

Everything sounds different than Chokemasters. Ive got Borla XR-1's, I like 'em. Was gonna go with a Magnaflow muff but they werent loud enough for me after hearing several in person.

I have a 22" Magnaflow, single in/dual out. Very VERY mellow. Almost silent at idle and cruising down the road. It wakes up a little when accelerating. Sounds almost like a big block and not loud at all.

be careful with the turn down right after the muffler. this will be loud in the cab.
