Tool Box for Silverado

Hello all, I'm in the market for a diamond plate tool box.....I'd like to know if any of you know any good websites that sell them for real good prices. Thanks for the input !!

There's some vendors to the left that might have what you're looking for...I think RealTruck has em. You could also check out stylinconcepts.com, or JCWhitney.com, or even Sears.com. Try doing a Google search also, you'll find a whole bunch of vendors for sure.

One of the things I have learned over the years is:

"If you get a really cheap price, you get a really cheap quality box"

I usually pay a little more and get the better quality.

Honestly, go down to Lowes. They have a nice selection of high quality boxes and you wont pay an arm and a leg in shipping costs. Northern Supply has a ton of them too. Pep Boys usually has a few Deltas but also a lot of the cheap stuff. If you are gonna be relying on this puppy to lock up and protect your tools then go with a good quality piece. You should be able to get one for less than $300. Also, dont forget about Tractor Supply, they have them too.

The only brand I will buy is Dee-Zee Gold Series!

They put a clear coat fininsh on their boxes and they won't get dull and "chalkie" looking over time. I have had mine in 5 Illinois Winters where we have as much salt as snow and mine looks as good as the day I bought it. Just soap and water to clean it, period.

I am unsure about other brands, if they do this or not, but I have had other brands in the past and they get to looking pretty ugly a few years later.

BTW, Dee-Zee only does this to the GOLD SERIES boxes, not the Silver Series or any others as far as I know.

I don't have any info for on-line sources, but If you have a Lowes near you... I purchased my Better Built low profile black diamond plate toll box there a couple of years ago. So far it has been trouble free...

The only gripe that I have is that the lock cylinder is on the drivers side and at times I have wished that I could lock and un-lock it from either side... no big deal...

UWS is the way to go. Several of my buddies have the boxes from Lowes, Home Depot & Tractor Supply 7 they all truned out to be junk. I've had a UWS for over a year now and opens and closes like its brand new.
