BFG T/AKO or REVO

Recommended Posts

OK, this is the last time I ask :nono: ...my wife had to drive my truck to work today and she commented on my wrangler ST sliding around...SO, I have an opening to get new shoes. For ~600-650 I can get either BFG T/A KO or REVO's, both 265/70/17....mounted, tax, aligned, balanced etc...WHAT SHOULD I DO...the tire guys can do either today...since it is a holiday here in Mass it would be good to get it done...and it is still snowing to boot...LET me KNOW soon (by 12:30) so I can make a move one way or the other....thanks, later :withstupid::cheers:

OK, done, I just had the guy run down to another store and pick a set up...660 for mount, balance, align, AND a three year full replacement warranty, tax and disposal....good deal? I think so, anyway thanks for the comment. Later, :nono::cheers::withstupid:

d**n, I might PM you this summer, see if that tire guy can give me that deal!

I have the ST's too.. only once have they downright scared me, sliding my ass out from under me while pulling into traffic! Hoping to replace with some Revos this summer.

He will I would bet :nono: ...real good guy, where are you? The ST is just a large car tire, I know why they are on there but Chevy should just not worry about MPG that much...in FL or AZ these would be fine, not here though...I agree, sometimes you wonder about control...later :cheers::withstupid:

Given more time, I would have said BFG's, but "snooze ya' lose" I guess!

I have 20k miles on mine and there is at least 60% tread left. They drive and ride excellent with great traction on and off road.

Many folks like the Revo's, keep us posted as to how you like them and how they wear. I might be willing to stray from what I know since the reviews seem to be good enough!

Congrats on the new "shoes"! :withstupid:

If the price is the same both are excellent choices. If you like black side walls, then I'd get the Revo's. On the other hand if you like solid white letters get the T/A KO's.

I've owned the BFG's and others I know own the Revo's. Both get a thumbs up. :(

My two cents.

Can the Revos now be had with black side walls? When I got them for my truck, only white raised letters were available. I prefer the black side walls, but didn't want to put the white letters on the inside. When it comes time to replace the Goodyears on the wife's Tahoe, I would like to get the Revos again, but REALLY want black sidewalls for that truck...

:) I thought about that too...my truck is sport red (dark red) ,BUT, I actually like the letters out...looks cool :) But, to your question, yes you can just use the other side of the tire, one side is raised white letters, the other is black...I thought most tires were like that? Anyway, I looked when they put them on, that is the way it is now, your choice. Later, :D:):chevy:

I know that the tires can be reversed and put on with the white lettering on the inside, but I hate seeing those letters on the inside of the tires when mounted that way. That is why I have the white letters out on my truck... I do like they look on my truck, but I like the black walls on the wife's Tahoe. I know it is a bit anal and all, but I wish that the Revos where available in black wall only...

I am anal too...but how do you notice that? I do not think they come only black but the tire is outstanding anyway, later :D:D:thumbs:
