does anyone use royal purple motor oil? is it better than mobil one.

Man after reading your post I remember seeing a program on TV were they tested oils and I do remember them saying royal purple was one of the worst oils on the market and I remembered that because that show on spike TV "Trucks" and Hotrod tv" use to push that product hard about 6-9 months ago but havent seen them push it here lately,kinda wonder if they saw the same program then stop pushing Royal Purple.

I run royal purple and haven't had any problems.

 

Since I'v started using it I have noticed that the truck idles a lot smoother and fuel economy has picked up a little.

 

I use royal purple in the motor, trans, transfer case and diffs.

My hunting buddy is big into demolition derbies and he swears by it. He said it helps his caddy run much longer than dino fluid. I believe he runs the engine oil and ATF.

Considering most TV shows are ADVERTIZING DOLLAR DRIVEN. I wouldn't take this statement to heart. Royal purple is not the worst oil out there. It is expensive and not at every retail outlet. But many other test show it protects and frees up hp. Is it perfect? No. Is it A good oil? Yes. I run royal in my diffs and t-case. Plus I run it in the ATV's

after thinking about it i think i'm going to give it a shot after all. i usually run havoline. but i wanted to try somehing different. i used to have the cold morning knock, but that went away. i always keep an eye on what' s going on with my truck so if i notice anything out of the ordinary since switching oil brands, i'll deffinately let everyone know. thanx for the comments. keep em comin

Where I buy my royal purple, the price is almost the same as mobil 1.
