Window Films/Tints

Alright, we are looking to tint the windows on the truck and the wifeys car. The lst time I had this done (5+years and 2 cars ago), 3M had a crappy warranty, so I used Luminar(sp?) I think. The installer seemed to like it, and it lasted with no issues. As I recall, it also had a lifetime warranty that included labor. Anyway, who is the best now? I am looking for durability, and a warranty.

I just had mine tinted Saturday. They used Madico Inc Charcool. Part # was

CH-20 I believe. It has a lifetime warranty against purpling, fading, cracking, crazing, etc.

The front 2 windows on my Sierra cost 85 to do. VERY happy with the film so

far(well, it's only been 2 1/2 days LOL).

Had mine done week ago today. Went with FormulaONE tint, 15% on the front two. Matches the rears almost perfectly. I think I got the "comfort" series. Dark as hell inside. Illegal as hell, too.

But, looks very good and has a lifetime warranty. Happy thus far. Cost $72 to get the fronts done.

I should have been more clear. What is included in the warranty? Just the film (Like 3M), or does it include the film and the labor to remove and replace? Seeing as how the labor is about 3/4 the cost, I want to make sure it is included.

Don't remember what the warranty included, but wanted to chime in... Had the Llumar tint on my '02 since new and put it on the Wife's Tahoe a year ago... No problems at all! Very happy with it...

I had the Lumar film on my last vehicle for 7 years with no problem...I think the tech has gotten way better over the last 5-10 years on any major brand, Formula 1, Lumar, Madico, etc.....if you go with a local shop, they should back it for everything, including the labor...used to install tint from 94-98, to do it yourself, unless it is an easy, flat window car/truck with the graphite edging all around (not many vehicles with that...scion?), I would go to a shop...just my .02
