I broke down and bought a foreign car for my wife Friday. I am now the owner of a 2005 Volkswagen Jetta. Never thought I would own a foreign vehicle, but I'll tell you what, so far I really like it and it had alot more options for the price. Now all I have to worry about is those exspensive parts when I have to do repairs...good thing the warranty is so long.

You'll love it! My wife has a 2004 GTI 1.8t 5spd (loaded) we bought about 8 months ago. It just turned over 10k last week... its a BLAST to drive!

jetta's are actaully a pretty sweet car... i would take a older one they look pretty sweet and have a small set of nuts... only 5 speed though

did you decide now was the time to buy because the 06's have the goofy "I wish I were Japanese" look???

even if not, good timing becuase they are starting to take hits since the new design is around teh corner, and you got the last of the German-looking Jetta's. The 05's will probably hold their values a tad better than the previous years because of that, last year of that body style.

They've already started putting out 2005s with the new 2006 body style. They just call them a 2005 Jetta A5.

I kinda like the look of the new body style, but I like the one we got too. What I really liked better about the new one is that there is a little more room inside, but it wasn't enough room for the extra money they cost.
