The new face of GM

Hi All,

What do you think of the new GM pickup???

Just kidding

It's a GM vehicle here in Oz called a Holden Commodore SS Ute(Utility).

Has the Chev motor in it (5.7 Gen 3) and my work buddy put the Chev badges on it.

Looks pretty cool.

Something that small with the 5.3 is probably a pretty peppy machine.

Normally, I'd say you were right, but whatever is wrong with GM at the moment also screwed up the GTO. They would somehow make it look boring and give it a terrible marketing campaign. Then after very few of them sold they would say, "see, no one want's a small, V-8 powered, rear wheel drive car."

The GTO is actually a Holden also but Pontiac messed that project all up.

Hope the Camaro is back soon!

I believe he said it has the 5.7 in it, not the 5.3. Although, the 5.3 would not be a bad choice for a vehicle of its size.

I'd rather have the Holden Crewman SS Ute over the others, but that's just me. 235kw=315hp if my metric calc is right. But wait...... if I took the 250kw V8 out of the Holden SS Ute and put it into the Crewman SS....... The power of the Vortec 8100 in an engine of 350ci.
