Window problems

I have tried to think of everything to fix this and have run out of answers. I have replaced the window motor and the switch and the window still will not go up. It will not even try to move. The passenger side works fine but the drivers will not move. Does anyone have a wirring diagram or any idea what else might be wrong with it.

Thanks,

Chris D.

It's a pretty simple circuit for the driver's side. Power comes into the switch on a dark blue wire. Terminal "F" on connector 2.

Terminal "A" and terminal "M" on that same connector (A=dark blue, M=brown) goes from the switch to the motor. When you operate the driver's window switch, one is battery power, the other is ground. When you operate the switch the opposite way, they reverse. The one that had power is now ground and vice versa.

So, make sure you have power coming in on terminal F to start. Ground "should" be okay if the passenger window operates from the driver's switch, because both the driver and passenger switches use the same ground. If the ground was bad, the passenger side wouldn't work either.

BTW, the passenger side switch in the driver's door panel ONLY uses the ground circuit, not power. The passenger window gets its power a different way. So it sounds to me like you're probably not getting power to the driver door switch, considering it's a new switch and motor.

It ended up being a bad regulator and a broken wire.

I now have a new window motor that I don't need anymore. So if anyone needs one I have a new from the dealership I will let go cheap.

299.11 dollars later I have a working window again.

Thanks,

Chris D.
