i305's...

I am ready to order my 3" Body lift and now need new tires.  Stopped by 4wheelparts and they said a 305/70/16 would clear using my american racing bajas 16x8's.  Anyone know if i would have issues with these tires?

as far as I've heard 33's should fit fine w/ a 16x8 rim w/ 3" of lift.  The only concern about rubbing that I would have is under harsh off-roading.  But, I would think that they should be fine.  The actual height of the tire varies from brand to brand.  What type of tires are you looking at?

yeah, it never ends, I've probably read 100 posts on them and I guess it's all in your definition of fit.  There's too many variables.  Just make sure you have the proper backspacing and you can't run anything under a 16" rim w/ the new silverado's

I am considering the Procomp All Terrains.  Unfortunately they don't make a 285 and the 265 is too small.  Not sure if i want the tire outside of the flares as i do like my truck to remain painted on the sides (rocks and such).  Might just get BFG's 285's but concerned about the road noise as they rate their own tire a 6 of 10 on noise.

Have you considered the procomp xterrain.  It's cheaper and it comes in a 305 which I think you would have no problems w/ rubbage on your 3" lift.  When I do my rancho 4-6" suspension lift I'm planning on running 33" x-terrains.  I've heard nothing but good things about them.
