Hi, my 1999 Suburban K1500 w/3.43 gears has a tin canny rattle sound in the drivetrain. I really hear it when im driving slow and slowing down for a stoplight/sign and windows are down. The sound is speed dependant. Can someone help? What could it be?

Thanks

You may want to check the U-Joints first. A tell tale sign of a joint going bad would be a powdery rust built up around a bearing cap. Sometimes it may be necesary to remove the drive shaft and check the joints by hand, please be sure to block the wheels and set the parking brake before removing the drive shaft if you decide to check them yourself. I know that you may be saying to yourself "DUH,no chit" , But I feel better giving that disclaimer, I've seen guys try to take their drive-shaft out in the parts store parking lot and nearly get run over by their own truck :sigh::chevy:
