Turn Signal Flasher Location on s10

I have a 1997 chevy s10 2.2l. I am trying to find the location of the turn signal flasher. It is on the convienence drop down panel with the hazerd flasher and horn relay. I have been told that its located in the center of the dash, as well as the drivers side of the dash just below the instrument panel. I was also told to remove the kicker panel and look by the firewall and the steering column. I have seemed to look everywhere, but have had no luck. If there is anyone that can help me or anyone who has done this before I would greatly appreciate it.

On my '83 S-10, it was up under the panel under the steering column. I can't remember for sure, but I think it was to the left of the steering column. If it still clicks, it will be a lot easier to find. If you know someone with a similar year of S-10, ask them if you can listen for where theirs is.

Mine was simply attached to a plug on the harness, and then snapped into a metal clip to hold it to the plastic. It took me forever with a flashlight and mirror to find, but I eventually got it.
