Door Locks 2005 GMC SIERRA

Door locks only seem to unlock about half the time with the keyless entry remote anyone with the same problem?

My 99 silverado seems to have the same issue, I think it is more the remote wearing out than a problem with the truck. 20$ on EBAY one of these days I'll get one and see if it improves.

added a Viper Alarm and the problem is still there using the remote that the alarm came with.

GUYS..........Anybody know offhand where the sensor for the

remote is located ? Could it be dirty or somehing to that effect?

I have the same problem but I just thought it was because the receiver (antenna?) is located somewhere that blocks the signal unless you're fairly close. I did notice that it seems to pick up further if I'm on the driver's side of the truck than from the rear / passenger side.
