Can anyone get me the part # for a MAF for a 2003 tahoe 5.3 Flexfuel? I need the whole assembly. I descreened mine  and now I'm thinking about going back to one with a screen.

Thanks!!!

And all the 4.8's-5.3's and 6.0's are the same part number.

Can I ask why your putting a screened one back in? Are you having problems with the descreened one?

Just upgraded the tune and it runs great at WOT. I have a new aeroforce guage that will monitor a ton of stuff like Knock Retard.

With the new tune at partial throttle at low rpms I register a small amount of Knock Retard. It is hot and humid which I'm sure doesn't help. From what I have read the descreening will lean out the a/f mixture the most when at partial throttle. I think this combined with the performance tune and hot weather I'm getting a tad knock retard. I don't hear any pinging but the computer is registering the knock.

I have been wanting to go back to a screened one for awhile after some of the stuff I have read and the Knock retard just reinforces (sp) some of the things I have read. I'm hoping this will take care of all or most of the small amount of KR I do have.

And if anyone is curious you CAN tell a significant difference between the 91/87 tune and the 93/91 Hot tune from westers. I'm impressed yet again. And MPG appears to be higher but mine is still learning.

Just FYI to anyone out there. I don't recommend descreening the MAF. I didn't notice a difference in performance and now it may actually be causing negative results.

EDIT - Just read your Sig. Got to love those old beaters. I drive my commute with a 1987 celebrity with the 2.5 4 cyl. Runs like a champ (29 mpg) and sounds like it is going to rattle apart. Only 108k on it but it has huge rust holes. I'm not afraid to hop in and take it anywhere. BlueBook is $500. I save that every year in gas that I drive it so I figure I make money by having it.

Ah Yeah,The old "Iron-Duke" 2.5 4cyl. They always did sound like they were going to blow apart! :D But they ran good.
