Painted Grill

I have a 2001 Suburban, with the chrome front grill. I was wondering about painting the chrome white to match the vehicle (like the Z71). I have searched but I don't think the search is working correct. Does any one have any steps or directions for this? I was wondering how difficult it was.

If you are going to paint it why not swap me for my grille (Silverados, aren't all chrome, the Suburban is, or should be) then the pretty chrome gets put to use and the ugly black get's painted.

I guess, if you really wanted we could do that, but my chrome grill is not in prefect shape, that is why I want to paint it.

Ehhh. either way lightly sand with a fine grit sand paper to give the paint something to stick to, wash it real well with something like Dawn dish soap, them paint. Several light coats, maybe some wet-sanding, maybe clear coat... Not real sure the paint you got or will use.
