Suspension

My 2001 GMC Sierra XLT Z-71 appears to sit 1 inch lower on the left side than the right. Could this be a suspension problem? Are the shocks worn out? I have 82,000 miles on it and use it both on and off road. What are the best replacement shocks to give me a smooth on highway ride? Also what are the best tires for ride and reduced road noise?

Shocks do not effect ride height.

Typical "chevy lean" . If you looks alot of chevys tend to start leaning to the left. probably has something to do with the gas tank.

yep, you can give your torsion bar a few turns to level the truck back out, but your weight and the weight of the gas tank wear down the torsion bars on the side.

at 82,000 miles you can start to think about replacing your shocks in the next year, it wouldn't hurt.

As far as replacements i like rancho rs9000's.
