VIN Decoding

I know that all the letters and numbers in the VIN stand for something, a few of them I Know, but I was wondering if anyone had links to a site where they have a complete breakdown of it.  Also, some of you have the location where your truck was made and the date on your sites.  Where do you find that out?

mine was built in fort wayne indiana (home state) and the date

 

check out your door jam on the drivers side.  Should be a date there (general date)

 

Mines says 4-00.  It was built april 6th,2000

 

Also there is a sticker on my door of the state of indiana with union info on it.
