Poor dog. Gonna need a lot of N2O or some shot-induced anesthetic to get him to sleep long enough to pull all those quills and patch him up.

 

Although, it being a pit bull, it sorta serves him right. Pit bulls = not exactly Lassie, if you know what I mean.

I would have to see pics of the porcupine before making a determination on who won. Pitbulls don't just give up (as evidenced by these photos).

 

It wouldn't surprise me if the porcupine is a shredded greasy spot on somebodys lawn.
