Replace HU?

Hi Guys, I have the Bose system now (truck below)...here is my current sound equip.

10 inch Type S powered by an MRP 350

set of type R components in front and 4+6 pioneer in back powered by a MRV 345

NOW, I still have the stock HU with the changer.....I was thinking of going with a 9855 HU from Alipne, plays MP3's also and has tons of music controls, EQ, xover's and such along with settings for my steering wheel controls, so I will lose nothing and gain a ton of control and music title information from CDR etc....looks like a realy nice unit! My question is will this make a significant difference...I have heard it will match up better with my amps and allow for much fuller frequency response...? One issue now is when I crank it up real loud my 345 amp will shut off...maybe the power is not real clean from the HU and causing issues...it was just installed a couple days ago so it will get resolved when I return from vacation. SO WE HAVE 2 WEEKS for your suggestions to filter down and help me decide what I want my final system to be?

WHAT DO YOU THINK? I am also thinking of adding another 10 inch and another MRP-350 to power it...if I go with the new alpine HU should I install an additional set of mids or highs that it can power or stick with the pre-amps and run all speaker with amplifiers (maybe an MRP 240 and another set of components or maybre replace the 4x6 with components)? This HU should let me do anything I wish. Also, how many amps can a factory electrical system handle?....

SO, two 10's (2 mrp 350 with 350 RMS each), two sets of components type R, maybe a set of mids or tweets and a new HU...missing anything? That is ~1100 watts RMS max power between the two sub amps and the amp driving the comp...maybe another small 2 channel to drive an additional set of 6.5's?

let me hear your thoughts...thanks, Later, :flag::seeya::sigh:

I have over 2K watts in conjuction with a 140-amp alt and a duralast battery, for now. The 140-amp handles it pretty good. I wouldn't bother adding anymore mids or highs to what you already have. Since you've already replaced everything else, the new Alpine HU will make a huge difference. Alpine is a very good brand to go with.

Thanks man...the 9855 is a hot model that does about everything I can ask for...as I do not use the changer much at all anyway. I figured it would make a great diff...if only to supply clean sound for the amps to amplify and allow me to adjust the music as I wish...any other comments? The only thing I may do is return the 4x6 and add a second set of alpine R types to the rear as well...and of course another sub...Thanks, later,:thumbs::(
