Transmission question?

i am getting a 95 k1500 soon. it is a (i think) work truck conversion (got the running boards and wood trim) I need to know what kind of tranny is in it. Is it the 700r4 or the turbo 350?

It will most likely be a 4L60E which is an electronic version of the 700R4.

You're right 95Yukon.  It should be a 4L60E which is an electronc version of the 700R4, which is an overdrive version of the TH350.  Confused yet?  I had a 95 2 door Tahoe for a while with the 4L60E.  It worked great for me.  I did add an auxillary cooler to the trans because I towed with it often.  My 99 Tahoe already has an aux cooler on it.
