Crew Cab on Silverados & Sierras??

I personally like both of the 2003 Silverado and Sierra models.  I noticed on another site that some of the options were listed as "crew cab only".  Does this mean that they are making a full four door (non HD) Silverado/Sierra in 2003?  Why make a 4 door S-10 and not a Silverado?

 

Anyone heard anything?

and yea there will be a 1500 crew cab, that you can get with quadrasteer and 2wd

You're not talking about the 1500HD are you?  I'm sure they are great work trucks, but I don't want to drive one everyday...

no  the new 03 body style with crew cabs will be called 1500hd

They've been selling the 1500HD's since the 2001 model year--heavy duty frames with the half ton body on them.

Z71Adrenaline is right.  The crew cab Silverado 1500 is the 1500HD.  I actually considered it, but decided I don't need a larger back seat or a truck that is a foot or so longer.

Yep, they are right.  The crew cab 1500 is called the 1500HD.  It is basically a heavy-half, like Z71Adrenaline said, a half-ton body on a 3/4 ton frame.  Those who have them seem to love them.  That is the only crew cab 1500 that will be offered.  They just throw the HD tag on there cause of the larger frame and upgraded rear end.
