I'm in a not so ripe mood right now, So I'll just say the basics.

I had a wheel bearring go bad and now my Red '96 Ranger is now a Tricycle!!!!!!!! :fume::spam:

Right front wheel caved in @ 60mph. I'll give you guys a full damage report after I take 200  and lay down for a while.:jester:

Holy crap!! I'm glad you are alright!! The truck can be fixed, you are lucky you are safe.

It still sucks!

Yeah, I'm glad I'm ok too. I should count myself lucky. If there is a silver lining here, that would be it.

Basically the whole right front spindle is a loss. The Brake rotor is scorched, the caliper was smashed, the wheel dug itself through the brake line. The Caliper dug a trench through the inner wheel. Anything and everything you can think of on the right front wheel is thrashed.

The heat from the friction was so intense, it melted the cap that covers the lugs.

It happened about a mile or 2 from my house So I soldiered my way home. (Thinking back it was a bad move, but I wasn't thinking at the time of "minimizing the damage", I didn't feel like getting mugged or whatnot while waiting for the tow truck in the ghetto "No man's land" that lies between where it happened and my house).

To make matters worse, The guy running the shop I took it to (I had it towed there of course) had a crappy attitude towards me. Treating me like I'm the stupidest man on earth. (Good business practice, huh?)

I did what I thought was in my best interest at the time.

If I was wrong, then chalk one up for "Learning experiences".

That sucks man.

But yeah, look at the silver lining...You're pretty lucky you didn't have a car-b-que.

Hope it all works out

Sounds like time to move on from the Furd and back to a better brand. Good to here there was no bon fire or you didn't get hurt.
