Gas pedal/Throttle body sticking

I have a 2002 1500 sierra V6 reg cab that the gas pedal seems to "stick" have to push hard on it to get going...had this same problem before on other Chevy/GMC's that I've owned...someone told me that the throttle body was sticking....what do I do to fix this problem?

Clean inside it with throttle body cleaner, excess carbon build up causes the plate to stick shut...

Yes, this sounds like a coked up thottle body. Throttle body cleaner applied to the outside and inside of the TB should bring it back to like new. Takes 15 minutes to do, and the TB cleaner is available at any auto parts store for about $5.00.
