I got some scrap brass to haul off so I went and to see how heavy my truck was checked it on log scale and it was 5660 lbs.  then I added the brass that needed to be taken in and went back and checked it it was at 8240 lbs now!!!!!  The rear leaf springs are pretty much level.

is your truck a 4wd?  I can't remember for sure or not, but I think it is.  Reason I ask, is I am kind of suprised your truck doesn't weigh anymore then that when empty.  I ran my truck across the grain scales empty the other day, and it was 5380lbs, and it is only a half ton, regular cab.

No Kyle it is a 2wd.  Traveled 80 miles with load on it and had no problems at all, not that I thought I would have any I do drive the most dependable truck in the world!!!!  Fuel milage was about the same on the tank full last week.
