Dash Transplants

I have a 2002 Chevy Silverado. For a while I've been looking at my friend's 2003 GMC Sierra and wondering if I could transplant a 2003 dash into my 2002. From looking at many pictures and looking at my friend's and my own dashes, I think it would be fairly easy.

The dashes look like the only difference is the console section under the radio/climate control section, and the radio section itself. The openings for the radio and the climate control are all that seem to have changed.

I just wanna know if you can tell me if I'm completely mistaken, or if I'm on the right track. I don't think I could use the dual zone climate control unless I got the body module out of a later model truck, but I could probably splice a wiring harness to at least retain control over the system.
