6.0L HO tune?

What is the differecne between a 6.0 in a 2500/1500HD and the new Vortec/Max? Mine is rated at 300 hp and the Vortec/Max is rated at 345. I realize it would have a different tune but what else? Is the cam the same? Compression? Throttle body size?

I believe they just changed the compression to get the extra hp out of it. not positive though, just read that on one of these boards

i read the vortec max is suppose to be like an SS, meant to keep up with the hemi

I'm sure it is just stepped up compression because the Max/SS wants premium fuel.

I seem to recall the cam/heads being different.

 

Mine is the 6.0 liter, and I'm pretty sure that my intake manifold is different from that in the pickups...Either the HD or the Vortec Max.

 

But I'm 400HP
