Anyone know a good mail order tranny rebuilder? I had a number for one a few years back for $850, but lost the info.

There was one in Florida some where but I tried calling and emailing with no response. I just assumed they went under and left the web-site up.

Depends on what you are looking for. If you want a mild or heavy built trans, I would strongly suggest Chuck @ FLT. If you are looking for cheap, my thoughts are you get what you pay for so why take the chance. Obviously just my opinion!

Beware...do a search before you buy a complete trans from this place. Lots of horror stories on the net. Great place to buy parts but lots of complaints regarding their complete trannies. Not trying to bash, just warning to do some digging before you buy.

Apparently you can upgrade to the heavier 4L80E no problem which is more durable than the 4L60E.
