Hi Everyone,

I have a 2000 NBS silverado 1500 Z71..................I wanted to know if an instrument cluster out of a 2003 Denali will work in my truck?........it certainly looks exactly the same but has the added temp gauge which is what im looking for.

Thanks......... :gmc:

2003 and upwards won't fit the earlier years. You might try JP CUSTOMS and dig around. Jason at JP Customs is a good guy to talk to and may give you some help, as well. http://www.jpcustoms.com.

You'll need a '99-'02 cluster, presumably. 03+ will not fit.

I wonder if its that is wont fit or wont work.................because it looks exactly the same as the cluster i have except it has a temp gauge.

99-02:

Note in particular the different style message center, the auxiliary message center on the 99-02, and the angle of the trans temp gauge. The consensus is that they are not interchangeable.

Both styles are available here:

I believe that site offers programming for $65 or so.

just chiming in on this one as to the use of a 99 cluster in a 00-02

idk but whenever u goto order one it alwasy asked for either 99 or 00-02 so i did some research on it and it turns out that a 99 will not read correctly in a 00-02 theres different values for the guage readings so when in a 00 u will show 40psi oil pressure the 99 will show 30psi

i know its not that much of a difference but thought id chime in

Just another question about the programming of the new cluster. Does the engine hours automatically transfer or does that have to be done with the mileage?

That has to be done when they program the mileage,It will not transfer.
