In 2000 UNL conducted a feasibility study of converting an LM7 to use E85 vice E10.

This abstract is a good read, but the results of power and performance gains are not included.

Was this study used for the new Hybrid engine available for Silverado's?

If so, what is the performance and power of the Hybrid Engine used in the Hybrid Silverado's?

What GM and other MFR's test isnt always what goes into production. This was a study one of many the MFR's do and many never get to production. If the RPO sticker in the glove box does not support what ever your looking for its not there. The truck you were reading about was a very early engineering study. Just like the Natural Gas trucks of the early 90's.

It was interesting to see that the LM7 could be upgraded to be similiar to an LS1 engine.

What engines were available to go on this chassis in 2000?
