What is the difference between a Duramax 2500 4by4 and a single wheel 3500 4 by4? Is the rear end heavier and is the tire size larger. Is there a extra leaf spring I know this is a lot of questions, but I can't find a honest answer. Thanks

I'm assuming you mean 2500HD since the 2500 does not come w/ Dmax.

 

They are mechanically identical with only two real exceptions. The 3500 comes with the extra leaf spring on the rear axle and comes standard with 265/75 R16 tires where the 2500HD comes standard with 245/75 R16.

 

Now there are differences in stuff like style of rims, trim packages, and what is standars vs. optional but what I listed above is how they go from a 9200 GVWR to 9900 GVWR.
