I want the rumble of Flowmaster just not on the inside of the cab. I have 2 ten hump'n inside and thats what i want to hear, not the muffler.

But on the outsode i want the rumble my 5.3L deserves.

I have a 2000 Silverado 1500 extra cab Z-71.

it has stock Single side Exhaust.

I seen some bad-azz trucks in here so what do you all recomend?

I have Flowmaster 40 deltaflow mufflers and I love them. I get very little resonance in the truck and outside it sounds awsome. Its not teenager loud, it has a very nice deep throaty sound. A buddy of mine has the super 40's on his truck and it sounds real good as well. Just stay away from the regular flowmaster 40's they are too loud inside the truck.

Also, the larger the pipe diameter the louder the sound, so keep that in mind. I don't think its recommended to go with true duels on the 5.3L(not sure why), so you may want to go with 2.5 or 3" pipe. I have a 5.7L with true duels. I put in an H pipe and ran mandrel bent 2.25" pipe. The 2.25" stuff matched right up with the OEM pipe that I left on the front of the truck.

Hope that helps.

I just put a Magnaflow catback (single exit 22" muffler) and I wouldn't have it any other way. There is no interior resonance and it really wakes it up when you get on it. I drive my truck everyday and have to use the hands free on my cell frequently and I HATE the resonance from Flows - Since having the Magnaflow I'll never consider a Flowmaster again - the Magnaflow is a great quality product and it gives me exactly what I was looking for and for the price ($459.00 shipped to my door - www.fulllineexhaust.com) I think it's the best deal around!!

get a 50 series dual in dual out and run them both out the passengers' side with tips. it'll sound smooth and mean.

I don't wanna hijack this thread, but I've got a few questions along the same lines that I don't think are worthy of a new thread.

yall said something about Deltaflow 40's, and Super 40's. what's the difference in performance, sound, and price? I wanted to put a single in dual out that just dumps out behind the muffler on my '95 with the 350.

is there anything besides flowmaster I should consider?

thanks
