CD is Hot when ejected

They seem to be pretty darned hot when I eject them after an hour of playing.

I just noticed it after a long trip and running the heater, does this effect it any?

I'd be more worried about the CD player itself than the CD...but everything should be fine. We do a lot of thermal testing/simulation on the radios.

Mine spits them out pretty dang hot too...Even with the A/C on. I've never really worried about it. Most of my CD players have been like that.

Yup, for the internally amplified radios it's normal. That's why more and more of the new radios are getting fans.

Well, I've found a new thing to do.

Take hot CDs from the player and put them on a pile in the floor.

Pour water over them, and you can have a sauna in your truck,...nice steam bath...

You could always pop out a hot cd and stick it in your pocket as a hand warmer. Or even better use them to keep your pots warm when you take them off the stove.

It's normal. My CDs or nav DVD is usually cookin' when I eject it after it's been in there for a while. They usually have that "fresh from the oven" smell.
