Hello all, just picked up an '06 K1500 SLE2 Ext Cab 4x4, 5.3 v8 310hp. This is my first C/K, though not my first GM vehicle (previously owned a '99 Camaro Z28, '02 Camaro Z28 & '91 Chevy K5 4x4). Looking forward to the experience with my new truck.

 

Quick question - I already did a search, but didn't find an exact answer. The transmission normally used in my type of truck is the 4L60E (not the 4L80E) correct? Thanx in advance.

And yes,The transmission in your truck would be a 4L60E (RPO Code M30)
