DRL's

Maybe I'm the last person on the planet to know but, of the Big3 why is GM the only one that has DRL's?

Than again "most" imports do too but not all; why?

I heard it was part of the gas tank settlement from the 80's or it was due to Canada require the feature. Your not the last to know, maybe second to last, cause I don't know. I think most imports are installing the DRL's because of the added safety they provide.
