Starter problems

My 1995 W/T 4.3 is having starter trouble. About half the time when I turn the key, I just hear a spinning sound, the engine doesn't turn over. I'm assuming the starter solenoid is bad. Can I replace just that, or is it worth putting in the whole assembly?

Yes it should just be the solenoid cost should be between $17-$40 easy to do. This site is not that active.
