Programming Keyless Entry

I have a 2000 Yukon Denali 4x4 and I had to buy two new remotes, but I cant program them. I have tried the programming method of holding down the lock button then turning the ignition off and on and so on and this has not worked. Does anyone know a different way of programming these remotes. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

There are steps on here. I think it is to ground out the #4 to the #8 connector on the DLC.

 

I know I found the instructions on here somewhere. I don't have them in front of me.

I appreciate the info, but my DLC does not have a #8 pin..only a #4. Any more info????

This gives how to program a 2002. Not sure if your 2000 is OBS or the new body style.
