Magnaflow Exhaust

Well i did it, i installed my magnaflow today and WOW its sounds amazing, no resonance and a great deep sound.

I just put mine on also, pretty easy install. The sound is awesome. Do have the dual rear exit? If so do you have any close up pics of it. I just can't seem to get mine up high enough to the rear bumper for my liking.

Mine exits in the stock location

And it still makes me smile when i press on the loud pedal.

Did you do just a muffler swap or catback?

I just bought a magnaflow (part 12589 5x11x22) off ebay and can't wait to get it put on.

I did a straight muffler swap and i couldn't be happier

It is down right scary loud on those colder mornings, i mean i set off alarms of cars in there garages three houses down

I will post a sound clip as soon as i get one

FYI i now have a stock muffler for sale with 4100 miles on it

I hoping this muffler (part 12589 5x11x22) same as above. Will fit in the stock location, buy just removing the stock muffer the welding in the new muffler. Has anybody done this ? Keeping the stock exhaust.

i swapped my stock muffler for a magnaflow and kept the origianl tailpipe with a denali type tip...wow do i get compliments

I used a relitivaley small muffler and i also get compliments

But i did have to make some type of intermediate pipe and weld it in

I am having it (12589) put on as I type. I'll find out shortly how well it went. The guy I bought the muffler from had it on his '05 tahoe so going on my 00 (nbs) should be a breeze. The muffler shop said looks like a really easy swap and that it should fit perfectly in the stock location. not sure how different the underside of yours is VS my 'hoe but I can't imagine it would be too different. BUUUUT Isn't yours the 6.0 and doesn't that muffler have dual in/dual out or something like that?? Anyone else know for sure? Course I could be talkin out my !!

Yea I've been very happy with my Magnaflow. I've got the 4.3L and I had it dumped just behind the cab. I always see those OBS trucks wiht dual jobs that have busted hangers and the pipes all bent up, so I chose to have mine exit nice and cleanly. A little cab noise, but nothing that I can't handle. Pictures of the exit can be found in the garage section under my name.
