Tuner questions

I have been reading this forum for quite awhile and have questions about the PCM tunes that are available.

How do they affect the tow/haul mode? When a truck is in tow mode the transmission shifts at a higher rpm, and I believe the timing is advanced. So if a tune is installed, does the truck drive like it is in the tow mode all of the time?

Which is better, the handheld tunes that allow changes or a replacement PCM?

You work with your tuner on how you want the tow/haul switch to work. On my tune I had them leave that programming alone as I pull a 20 foot boat.

I have never used the hand helds. Am completely happy with my Westers tune.

Have a great day.

Save your money on a hand held!

I had one before I got my Wester's. Lost

a lot of money selling the hand held.

First post !!!!! NEWBEE!!!!!

With our products you can us the tow/haul button on the vehicle as you would normally. T/H will change the MPH of the shift under and over 1/2 throttle. Our tuning will work with the t/h and it will only change shift points 1/2 throttle or more.

So I hope this helps....

If you have any questions feel free to email or give us a call and we will help you.
