Has anyone out there seen strobe lights installed inside the Roof Clearance Lights? I plow and think it would be a great place to put them, plus I think it would look SWEET!! :banghead:

if you can wait ill take a bulb out of my tail lights and try to fit it in there

but the only thing i can see as being hard is going to be getting the wires up there under the headliner

code 3 makes a nice mini light bar

another way is to get a flasher (wig wags) and hook them upto the outers and then hook the inside 3 together so you will still have full use of the lights while towing :banghead:

if u have any other strobe questions just ask ive got about 4 years working with strobes and other lights / siren type things

I would be very intrested in seeing if one of those lights will even fit up in there. I have heard that you need at least 1" of clearance around the bulb so it will not melt the lense. Let me know, I would appreacate it.

I am not sure if the wig wag will give me the look I was looking for. I want to get 2 in the front turn signals, 2 in the rear, 2 in the clearance lights, and I have my mini lightbar on top.

That should make my white truck stand out in a blinding snow storm

White truck + snow = Accident waiting to happen.. lol

Thanks Again

JC Whittney has a good flash module that you might want to investigate.

The Flash mod's do not have the effect I am looking for. I would love the bright double alternating flash you can get with strobes.

The Brightness will catch anyones attention.

bad news as far as fitting it into the light

unless the bulb is removed and you can get ur hands on the push in grommit style bulbs Whelen did sell them but i cant find the part# for u

as far as wires go well your best bet is to buy the ends and make ur own cables so they are flat and small enoff to fit through the holes

i did not test to see how much space is above the headliner but i cant see that being a problem

one not of caution is to make sure the wires and the bulbs are siliconed in place to prevent rain from getting inside and cuasing a big wet problem
