Alright guys....

I am buying a dual rear exit exhaust for my 2003 Chevy Silverado.

I am looking for an exhaust that does not create much interior resonance but lets people know when i drive by.

My first inclination was to choose the Flowmaster Force II Cat-Back system with the 50 Series Muffler SUV. It seems like a pretty good deal....Any personal experiences...PLEASE ADVISE

IN THE POLE PLEASE ALSO POST A REPLY OF WHY YOU CHOSE THAT COMPANY

I Choose magnaflow and will never go back, People definitley know i am coming but up on the highway it sounds almost stock, no Drone YEAH

Borla Cat-back here. Quality components, that telltale Borla sound, nice twin tips. Had a bit of resonance but my Tahoe is a resonance box with any exhaust. A little soundproofing took care of that. Don't think the pickups resonate at all.

I went with a magnaflow and had a 3in exhaust custom made to look stock. I love the setup. I've got the smallest oval magnaflow muffler possible and it's freaking loud, but it sounds beautiful. When cruising it's a distinct roar in the background, easily drowned out with the stereo, and at WOT it screams like a beast.

Yeah...I am tempted to go with the flowmasters....only because it is only liek $350 for the full system and i havnt heard any thing BAD about them other than they arnt stainless steel.

Any other Bad stuff about flowmaster?????

first of all how in the world did you get your hands on a corsa exhaust system for $100

Sounds like you guys all like the magnaflow exhaust system. Why is it any better than flowmaster...I am not trying to be a nudge here to support flowmaster...mostly i am just trying to figure out why i should NOT choose flowmasters $400 system

I had borla cat-back on my old truck and Iliked it not to loud but opens up nicely at WOT and didn't lose bottom end an exhaust always looked good plus lifetime warrenty, got my new truck and put cat-back 70 series flowmaster 3in In dual 2.5 out behind each tire, after a few months the exhaust was all rusted except for tail pipes, 2yrs later muffler rusted out, called flowmaster bla bla bla got a 70 series at discount put it on and after a few months the welds have really rusted bad here on Ohio. The 70 series sounded great to me IMO and not much interior resonance but lost some bottom end. I'll have to replace the whole exhaust probably in the next 1-1.5yrs If I had to go it again I would spend the extra $ on borla and never worry about replacing it again.

From what i have heard the Flows dont flow that well but i have not really seen any proof.

I think of the other ones you list you will get comparible performance. I have had Gibson and now run the Borla. If I had $$ i'd go Corsa just because i could!

I like my Borla, sounds good n' quiet in the cab, but has a nice growl out back. Great materials and finish too.

I am unfamiliar with Borla/Magnaflows muffler selection...I know for flowmaster it is niceley laid out on thier webpage and i can look at each different one. Can anyone fill me in on the Borla/Magnaflow muffler selection (is there only one? which one is the most like the 50 series for flowmaster?

For Borla and Magnaflow, you should probably just compare their case sizes to the flowmaster of choice. The Borla and Magnaflows are all of the same style, straight through fibre packed design, so the only variable really affecting sound is the actual muffler size.

Gotcha .... Thanks...

Looks like flowmasters are making a comeback....I am going to end up just pulling straws for which one i go with...its gonna be either Borla Magnaflow or Flowmaster.

Well,

I guess I'll be the voice for Gibson. I've got the Super Truck system and I love it. Here's why:

- Cheap! I've haven't seen any other full stainless systems you can get for that low of price.

- Easy install. Total time was like 45 min. Now cutting off the old exhaust is another story.

- Great sound. Gibson mufflers are actually baffled. They aren't straight through like many other systems. But, they still flow very well and the sound is deep and powerful, not raspy.

- Unique (at least with the Super Truck). I get lots of compliments on the wide rectangle tips. You don't see it on a lot of trucks.

- Great fitment. I was worried with the system not mounting like factory how it would work out. It seriously bolted up like a factory piece. No real adjustment necessary.

- Low cabin noise. Unless I have the window open all I hear of the exhaust is a little rumble. But, I like that. :)

Ok enough out of me. Enjoy whichever exhaust you decide on.

Alright i give up...its going to be pulling straws because everyone seems to have a great system no matter which company they choose. I think no matter which one i choose i will be happy with it. And if i am not i think i may just put dual stacks out the bed and give up...haha
