Z82 Option

My 03 Sierra Z71 apparently is equipped with the Z82 Trailer Equipment package (I'd checked the glovebox sticker with the RPO codes and it states Z82). I've purchased this truck (used vehicle) a week ago.

 

My question to any owner who purchased a Z71 brand new from the dealer that is equipped with the Z82 option - was anything else supplied to you at time of delivery (ie wire harnesses, trailer balls, etc)?

I think the 7-way plug adapter and the harness for the brake controller.

I have z85 and z82 how weird is that?

And suppose to include a "pig-tail" for you to connect your electric brake controller to the factory plug in the plastic box just above your left foot driver side under dash. and a fuse to replace the dummy fuse under the hood.

I got a brake controller pig tail with my truck as well. Looks like a useless thing because they did not provide an electric brake controller itself. Is this pigtail used to connect the brake controller to the vehicle electrical system? If so, where does it plug in?

 

The tow package came with the 7 pin plug mounted on a crookedly welded bracket. Of course, GM was too cheap to provide a 7 pin to 4 pin flat plug adapter.

Yes,It is used for an electric brake controller.

It plugs in under the dash,On the drivers side right by your E-Brake pedal,Theres a black plastic cover over the "Bussed-Electrical-Center" pull that cover off and theres a decal on the underside that shows you where it goes.
