Leather seats

Hi, my wife's car is a 2003 Impala. It has tan leather seats, the car is pretty sweet. But the drivers seat is already begininng to show some wear and the car only has about 35,000 miles on it. What happens in another year or 2 when the seat really rip or starts peeling? We always use leather cleaner etc..., of course we don't want seat covers. Can they be redone and is it expensive? Thanks!

After my buddy bought a new 06 Tundra he decided he wanted leather seats. He had the front buckets and rear seat done for around $1500 here in Pa.

You can order the factory replacement covers from the dealer if you want to keep the original appearance. Then just replace what's worn; or go to an upholstery shop and have all of the seats re-done.

Just my luck that I was reading through my owners manual earlier this week. Said to only use mild soap and water on my leather seats. Only use leather cleaner as needed. Might be reason why your leather seats are showing premature wear.

I agree with earlier post...shop around and you can get them re-covered locally, usually for a pretty good price.
